Our 911 Communications Center is currently authorized for 6 full-time communication specialists’ and a Communications Supervisor. Our 911 Center provides professional dispatch services to the City of Somerton Police and Somerton/Cocopah Fire Department. Additionally, our 911 Center takes all 911 calls for the Cocopah Tribal Police Department, working together with their dispatch to transfer calls for assistance within the Cocopah jurisdiction. Our center has state-of-the-art equipment where we pride ourselves on working cooperatively with all our public safety partners to provide the very best in services the City of Somerton and our surrounding communities. Our 911 Communications Center is staffed around the clock, 365 days a year.
The 911 Communications Center's daily operations are supervised by the Communications Supervisor, Martha Esqueda, who reports to the Chief of Police for all communication related issues. Supervisor Esqueda is supported by 6 communication specialist who stand ready to serve our community in a time of need.
