City Clerk

The City of Somerton operates under the Council-Manager form of government. The City Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Somerton. He is charged with the responsibility for the day-to-day operation of all the City Government functions through policy direction set by the Mayor and City Council. 

The City Clerk Department is responsible for upholding the public trust, protecting local democracy, and providing access to matters of public interest. They do so by managing elections and annexations, preparing council agendas and meeting notices, maintaining public records, and processing liquor and regulated business licenses.

Speaker/Comment Card – Members of the public who wish to address the Council during the Council Meeting must complete the City of Somerton Speaker Request Form and submit this form to the City Clerk by 12:00 pm on the day of the meeting.
Notary services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. A $10 fee will be charged per notary
